Carnival
Cruise Lines, New Orleans' largest and only year-round cruise operator,
will add a second ship to the "Big Easy". Come April 2002, the MS
Holiday will introduce year-round four and five day western Caribbean
cruises from New Orleans.
Carnival is always
looking for fresh, new itineraries to provide our guests, and beginning
spring 2002, the 1,452-passenger Holiday will offer one-of-a-kind
10- and 11 day voyages from New Orleans. Aside from featuring a diversity
of popular Caribbean and Mexican ports and exotic destinations such
as Belize, these new "Fun Ship" sailings provide a convenient, affordable,
all-inclusive vacation option from the Big Easy.
The 10 day voyage
will call at Playa del Carmen, Costa Maya and Cozumel, Mexico, in
addition to Belize and Ocho Rios, Jamaica. The 11 day sailing will
add Grand Cayman to this list of ports. Following these one-of-a-kind
voyages, the Holiday will launch a previously announced four- and
five day cruise program from New Orleans April 27, 2002, joining Carnival's
2,052-passenger Inspiration which currently operates week-long Caribbean
